A place to be cautious
It has been two weeks since our wedding lunch reception and no feedback requested by Regent Hotel on how the wedding was going on. So I just put here our own experience with Regent Hotel.
- Wedding preparation was smooth and the banquet manager is very flexible to accommodate our requests. (That is why I still give two stars instead of one).
- The problem arose during the wedding day itself. The wedding cake that we got is not the same as the one that we chose before. The cake was decorated with a small flower on the top of the cake and the rest is just plain white colour with some green patch which I could not understand what style of wedding cake they were preparing. Just be warned to all new couples that they can easily change the wedding cake style without telling you.
- Also during the day, the main projector was shut down and could not be started. At that time we wanted to play our engagement video but we could not. We needed to wait for sometime to ask the technician to come. No on the spot technician to assist.
A night to remember
Our wedding dinner banquet at Regent Singapore on 03/03/18 was a success. . The banquet kitchen 1 Michelin Star Summer Palace upheld their excellent quality of food, with good array of choices and innovative menu. The choice of food was beyond our guest expectations and they were all in praises of the selection .
Their new wedding themes and wedding favors are thoughtful and set them apart from other banquet locations.
Special mention to Anba, Banquet Manager who promptly attended not only to our guest's needs but our needs. It was a pleasant surprise where he took care to pay attention to details before every march in.
Willius, catering sales manager is very professional and attentive. His responses to our needs and request were honest, forthcoming and prompt.
Also thanks to the rest of the hotel staff, who made our stay memorable.
The banquet team were very professional, one of our guests left her handbag in the toilet but the team promptly responded and handled the situation professionally. My guests were all impressed with their service and the food as well. Many of them commented that it is rare that banquets served such high quality and delicious food. Initially we were a little scared since the food poisoning incident but I believe the restaurant team brought their standards to newer heights in terms of food safety and quality. We want to specially highlight the efficiency and dedication of certain staff in their roles to making our important day so memorable:
1) Willius - sales manager. He was very patient as both my Husband and I always travel for work and we had so many changes even till the last min, he always reply and tried to compromise with our schedules. He also gave us advice on key important decisions for the banquet as well
2) Isaac - operations manager. He was so sweet, kept reminding my Husband and I to eat and manage the event so well and professional. We feel so at ease.
3) decor team - the decor was soooooo pretty, really one of the best I've ever seen
4) food team - the food was soooooo good. Impressive and they don't stinge on the food ingredients and all our guests were so happy with the food. I chose regent hotel because of their reputation for the food, and as compared to the rest of the hotels we had previously been, regent allows you to choose your own dishes from a variety of 5-6 dishes per dish! It gives you much flexibility and allows you to tailor make your own menu!
Dream Wedding Reception
The team had everything done perfectly down to a T. They were very professional and did everything in their power to ensure our event went smoothly. All our guests went happy which gave us so much of satisfaction and happiness. We had wonderful experience with Regent and everything was up to the mark.
Special thanks to Valerie for being there all the time as a support and to the rest of the team for coordinating everything so well and taking excellent care of the bride and groom. The banquet staff was there till we left as well.
The decor was beautiful. It looked spectacular. The food was delicious and beautifully laid.
It was a beautiful experience and we would definitely suggest this for someone else's big day. We couldn't have asked for more.
