Real Wedding of Jessica & Yu
by Sherlyn Aquilla MakeUp

Updated on 21 June 2024, Bali

Just as love can surprise you in unexpected places, it often finds you at the most unexpected times. Jessica and Yu’s paths intertwined when time seemed to stand still. They connected online in Osaka at the beginning of the pandemic. Jessica, hailing from Indonesia, initially worried about the language barrier. Yu, being a native Japanese speaker, might not have been fluent in English. However, as time progressed, their bond deepened not because of shared interests but due to their differences. Rather than allowing their dissimilarities to create distance, they embraced them as opportunities to learn from each other. Jessica was drawn to Yu's caring and attentive nature, as he consistently made time for her despite living far away from one another. He often expressed how comfortable he felt around her and admired her ability to manage things efficiently. They cherished leisurely strolls in the park and quiet moments together. Opting for walks over public transport, they seized the chance to deepen their bond through peaceful conversation. In 2022, he finally proposed. "It wasn't your typical proposal," Jessica giggled as she reminisced. Yu simply popped the question and mentioned that he had already scheduled an appointment at the ring store. Together, they went, and Jessica chose a ring. It was a practical move, but it spoke volumes about Yu's sensibility. The Ceremony at Tirtha Uluwatu | Chapel Wedding Jessica opted for a simple yet elegant wedding theme, prioritizing pastel colors with hues reminiscent of Bali's mesmerizing sunsets. "I had the vision in my mind, but the Tirtha team brought it to life," she remarked. "I saw the sketch beforehand, but seeing it in person exceeded my expectations. It was stunning." Jessica remembered the ceremony as her favorite moment. Despite not expecting to be emotional, the shared sentiment with her beloved and closest loved ones made it unforgettable—the intimate wedding she had always dreamed of. Yu reminisced about his nervousness walking into the chapel, but it all dissipated when they shared their first kiss as husband and wife. A moment to remember forever. The venue was bathed in warm, dreamlike light for their photo tour, embodying the essence of Bali's golden hour. Renowned for its soft, flattering hues, this was the perfect time to capture the joy and intimacy emblematic of weddings—a sentiment Jessica fondly echoed. The Reception at Tirtha Uluwatu The decor was a delicate blend of peach, blush, lilac, various shades of green, and navy blue. The blue tones were particularly prominent in the table settings, adorned with blue water goblets and indigo table runners, complemented by subtle napkins and elegant gold cutlery. The flower lineup included old rose, Ecuador rose, lisianthus, hydrangea, and delphinium.
