Kasalang Juan at Leni

Juan came to the Philippines for the very first time, without his family in tow, to marry the love of his life, Leni. But what our groom lacked in kinship, the Filipino heart more than made up for: Leni's entire barkada, and her very own family, made sure to thoroughly entertain Juan and make him comfortable in this tropical country which -- in his own words -- has an unbelievably "hot and sticky" weather. Humidity and culture-shock notwithstanding, Juan laughed a lot and really enjoyed himself. He sure missed the more genial, nippy climate of Canada, but he is definitely thankful for being blessed with an extended family that pulls all the stops for him. This has been what he treasures the most about Leni and her whole army of loved ones: the Filipino-ness that has taught him "No man is an island." "Alam mo naman tayong mga Pilipino, grabe ang pakikisama," Leni tells Habi. And by the looks of it, Juan -- who, in the past, never cared much about interacting with others due to the 'Westerner' in him -- has finally understood :) In this wedding, the Habi core team is extremely grateful with the help from our friends from the broadcast media industry, and a photographer friend from another studio outfit. We welcomed Marco Lopez and Joe Morales as guest videographers, and Rose Santiago-Sañosa of Hungry Soles Studio as guest photographer. It was our Dream Team -- a lovely collaboration despite the challenges of the day, with rain falling in torrents and a town-wide blackout to boot!
