I am the kind of person who will wear your high heels, who can rock sneaker shoes, run several kilometers with a rubber shoes, or even go bare foot on a bikini. I am that crazy quilt. I didn’t know what I wanted for my wedding gown, I’m torn between going minimalist or full laced! But I had one specific request; and I sent 9 different designs, all of which are V-neck dresses. My husband and I asked that our clothings be different among the rest. I thought it’s going to be extremely challenging, because to me, barong looks just the same. When we told her, do what you need to do to make us different; I saw on her face how excited she was, how many ideas she had; I saw an artist light up! Now looking at our pictures, (from our photographer, family and friends) I tear up! When I look at my pictures wearing my wedding gown, I see Me! All versions of me! It’s everything I wanted which I NEVER MENTIONED to Ms Pie. She is the kind of designer who will not only interview you and ask what you wanted and then work on it. No, she will also get to know you, she will put all depths of your personality on your clothing! She made my wedding gown and my husband’s barong. They are designed entirely different, individually made specially for the two of us and not patterned to each other. But when my husband and I are beside each other, my wedding dress, his barong it is seamless, they are flawless individually and together! I'm very happy because I will be able to use this in any occasion, not just in one occasion, it can be used in a formal gathering, concert performance etc. You will see that I used it for my music video The Other Me https://youtu.be/4IucaQdXr58 Hubby and I are very happy because we can still use these in the future. We're very satisfied because these are timeless :) More power po. Please keep on doing the great work, we love it so much. I can still use my gown in concerts in case I can already do a concert as a singer. Even my fashionista best friend said that I look very elegant in this dress.

Most every girl at some point in her life dreams of what her wedding dress in going to look like. But in my case I honestly don't know what I want. I have a lot of saved photos in my Pinterest but I couldn't really decide. I sent Ms. Melanie top 3 of what I want and I told her "Ate Pie, ikaw na bahala". Her creation vs what I picture it out to be was better because of her personal touch and the details she added to it, that made me the most beautiful girl that day. It was more than I imagine it to be. I love every details, I love everything about it. It was perfect. I found Obra Alta Costura from a good friend of mine, Pie Tañada. The collection was absolutely beautiful and amazingly priced! But what's more important that the collection itself was the service you get and kindness you feel as soon as you step in! I found everything I needed there. Everything was just perfect and complimented my dress perfectly especially the light nude color of my wedding gown. And I love extra mile to help me on such a short notice. She managed to do everything on time and even packed my dress in a tiny carry on with all my precious accessories.

We had less than a month to prepare for our prenup. Our coordinator recommended that we do it early, even if it was still around 8 months before our wedding. As I was looking for a nice outfit for our outdoor prenup, I got really frustrated because nothing affordable would fit me nicely because of my figure. I even attempted to rent gowns, but ended up looking overly mature than my age. It was such a serendipity that I met Ms. Pie through my fiancé's friend, who was so eager introduce her, because Ms. Pie was also her wedding dress designer.\n\nDuring my first meeting with Ms. Pie, it felt like I was just chatting with a new friend. I told her my delimma. In my mind, I was just considering a possibility of having one custom made gown for our prenup. I ended up getting three because I loved her ideas and sketches. My favourite was the white dress. It looked almost like a wedding dress fit for my fairytale beach wedding. (We are having a church wedding, so I felt like it was my chance to have a beach wedding look). We had an upcoming side trip to Boracay the next week from our first meeting. I was excited for a possibility of wearing that white dress in Boracay. So, Ms. Pie granted my wish to get the white dress right away, in less than a week!\n\nI loved how Ms. Pie sometimes calls me to get an update on the shoot. I loved that she feels excited for me. I also appreciated the fact that she worked around the possible budget, and not a hint of sales talk. I just trusted her with the design and the fabrics to be used. I even got to ask her suggestions for our other outfits for the actual prenup. She was always a chat or call away. Took away most of my worries for the prenup outfit.\n\nWhen my fiancé saw the white dress he really liked it. In fact he liked all off them. He said my dresses were simple and beautiful. I am so thankful that I found OAC here in bridestory. I still remember our first met at her office discussing about my pegs and styles for my wedding gown and I am so happy because she really knows what's best for you. Of course I do have a budget for my gown and she'll respect that. I mean she will not offer you more higher price than your budget just to have you that elegant and beautiful gown like others(from what I experience). You'll see her passion on her work and I really enjoyed our fitting sessions. I will miss that Ms Mel! Haha. I am so happy with the outcome of my gown, exceeded to my expectation.
