Wedding of Alex & Lisa

Alex and Lisa - the crazy duo travelling the world and getting married in every country they visit. Imagine my surprise when Alex emailed me back after I popped them one back in 2013 saying that they were finally coming to our shores in Malaysia. What culture would they get married in? Where would it happen? Since Malaysia is a multi-cultural country, I had some ideals of my own but thankfully with the help of Sherly and Agnes from Vanilla 'n' Lace and Caroline from BlueCicada, we got our heads together and planned the entire thing with a couple of days to spare before the actual wedding date. So after reaching out to people who were interested in Alex and Lisa's wedding, we concluded that they would be celebrating their union with two ceremonies; the Chinese gate-crashing/tea ceremony together with the Malay 'merenjis' or blessing ceremony at the Pinang Peranakan Mansion that would be an awesome backdrop for all its elements combined. After visiting Johor and Malacca, Alex and Lisa finally arrived in Kuala Lumpur and we met up with them briefly before they traveled north towards Cameron Highlands and taking a short break at The Banjaran in Ipoh. Lisa documented it really well and you can read all about it here: www.2people1life.com/qun-kwas-songkets-and-kawan-in-malaysia/ Soon enough, Penang was next and we had these incredible people who were based in Penang to thank for: Floral arrangement by Aganpanthus by Harry, hair and make-up by Angela Kang, Malay traditional wedding attire by Kerawang Klasik Bridal and the Chinese traditional wedding attire by www.redknot.com.my. I couldn't be more happy on the day itself when there was a ton of beautiful light coming in the Peranakan Mansion as Alex and Lisa got ready and got down to the two ceremonies with full of excitement, happiness and meaning all around.
