The Bride (Juliana) is from Colombia and the Groom (Gustavo) is from Venezuela. Their love story started in Orlando in 2015. They were introduced by his cousin Andrea who the bride went to high school with. It was instantaneous! She was living in Orlando and he came up to visit her every weekend. They were meant to be, they complement each other in every way. Both love the outdoors, animals and in fact they have 4 kids, who are our gorgeous rescue dogs! Her family has estate farms in Colombia and the groom also really enjoys going to farms and being outdoors, since on the weekends they would go to their country houses and disconnect. So the groom invited her horseback ridding up in Wellington were they go for derbies and competitions. Ridding and horses are the brides’s passion! He proposed as they were ridding, it was the most romantic day. He set up a gorgeous picnic, and that had an intimate and perfect moment. They wanted to to feel like they were on vacation some place else not Miami. They wanted guests to feel welcome and at home and not have to follow any protocol; elegant, intimate and inviting. Also, they wanted food to be a part of their day. Colombia and Venezuela were both colonized by Spain so they had tapas and a Pata Negra Jamon station. The bride wanted a garden wedding filled with flowers and she loves the color pink. We used David Austin garden roses, cherry blossoms, Double dutch tulips, astilbe, alstroemerias and hydrangeas creating a degrade of pinks. The favorite moment of the wedding day for the bride was when they had their first look, when Gustavo took the garter, but most of all when she walked through the ambiances and felt like a princess in a dream! One piece of advice that the bride could give the brides-to-be is hiring a planner. She says that there is no way to think of all the details and to bring the entire vision together without help. She was 100% relaxed because she knew she was in good hands, and were able to let go completely and simply enjoy the moment.
