As much as you want to celebrate some of the most wonderful moments in your life with others, there must be some certain limit on how many people you would want to be there for you during the celebration. Many would agree that the best moment in life should only be celebrated intimately. However, as ideal as it is, not every one could have that luxury especially if you’re having your wedding day in Jakarta, where typically thousand of guests would be invited. Ronald and Lydia, was probably one of the many couples in Jakarta who had this kind of dilemma. So to make their dream come true, Ronald and Lydia flew to Bali to do an “elopement” inspired photo session captured by Lydia’s favorite photographer, Elizabeth Messina just a week before their wedding. The concept behind the whole set-up was inspired by a comment Ronald made during our interview session, that his favourite movie now is Beauty and the Beast, as he could somehow relate to be loved by a Beauty with an equally beautiful soul. He even wished for his wedding to somehow carry the Beauty and the Beast theme. Thus, we drew our inspiration for the set up of the elopement to infuse various elements from Beauty and the Beast (tall candles & candelabras, drapery, roses, etc) without being too thematic. We used tall candles & candelabra for the table set up, chandelier on the ceremony canopy complete with flowing drapery. The stationery featured a stem of rose, and we used various type of roses for the floral arrangements. As we were by the beach, we also included some shells into the decoration so the whole set up would blend well with the surrounding. Lydia herself looked breathtaking with a custom designed white gown. The lace is so delicate with a shell-like pattern, and sewn with little pearls and beading on top of the lace. It was truly a magnificent and romantic day for the couple who wanted the most beautiful and intimate wedding for two.
