Robbie Williams once famously sang, "Youth is wasted on the young, before you know it's come and gone; too soon," in his hit song, Eternity. Human beings have long been fascinated with the existence of the 'Fountain of Youth'. We frequently see beauty and cosmetics companies promoting and selling "Youth Serums", especially targeted to their main markets, the middle aged to older women.
This brings us to a point on one end of a spectrum, that men generally prefer younger women. It's a bit stereotypical as there are numerous cases where younger men not only go for older women, but they really fall in love with them and have a good, loving and fulfilling relationship till they're old. So let's focus on the one extreme aspect, what actually makes men go for younger women then?
At the top of our heads, the immediate reason that pops up would be that naturally and physically, younger women would be more attractive in the sense that they have tighter skin, nicer, toned bodies, easier for them to take care of themselves as they have youth on their side. It makes the older men suddenly feel younger too as a result and usually these kind of relationships would be more physical more than anything else. (Think of all your romantic Hollywood films where the wife gets cheated on, 95% of the time it would be with a much more younger, hotter lady.) Not only is it an ego-booster for the men as he will feel really good by being wanted and also more alive, that such a young, attractive person would still pick them over the many, many younger guys available.
For the more experienced 'players', it might also be that younger women might be easier for them to fool and play around with. Most young guys will have to go through the process of finding out how to treat women right, and just the mechanics of how to make and keep a woman happy, all of which the older and more experienced men have more knowledge in. Thus, the woman will naturally feel good as she feels much more secure and 'happy' with these older men. Not only can they provide financially, but they can also be there for them emotionally and physically.
So, for you younger ladies who might be considering this, do find out about the guy's background first, if he indeed has a reputation of jumping from one flower to the next, you might not want to get involved unless you're ready for dramas and heartbreaks. Remember that feeling young and youthful has nothing to do with age but rather in the way you think, feel, live, breathe and basically just how you view life in general. Whoever you're with, be it younger, older or even the same age, you and your partner can still both feel young and alive and keep things fun and not get bored of each other and life in general. We feel that if both parties make an effort to keep things exciting and always something to look forward to, there shouldn't be a reason for either to look elsewhere.
