The luscious outdoor courtyard of Una restaurant at One Rochester offered a pretty backdrop for Vincent and Dorothy's day-time wedding reception and solemnisation ceremony. With the help of friends, the event space was given DIY decorative touches to add pops of colour to the otherwise green space.
Under a billowy fabric canopy that offered mild reprieve from the sun, the solemnisation area was dressed with blue and white streamers and nude-coloured flowers. The reception table was given a romantic vintage feel with rustic jute baskets, baby's breath blooms and assorted sweets. The dining tables took on a fresh country vibe with table centrepieces of white and green blooms in recycled glass bottles wrapped in twine.
Captured by photographer Nick Leong of Goodman Photography, the day was warm but that did not deter the bride from wearing a sweet bustier gown with flared skirt. Her groom ditched the jacket and dressed down in a shirt and vest combo. After they were declared man and wife by the Justice of Peace, the newlyweds hosted their friends and family to a buffet spread of delicious Spanish eats.
"Vince and Dot are casual individuals with warm hearts. The affair was nothing too fancy but there's so much to love about it. Everything went smoothly and the weather was perfect – you couldn't ask for anything more!" attests the photographer.
