After graduating from university, Lowee Khoo discovered a passion in crafting unique arrangements using natural materials. "I didn't want to wait around for job interviews, so I tried exploring floristry on a freelance basis," the Singapore-based florist explained. Eventually, she took a leap of faith and established Keira Floral. "If you give part-time efforts, you will only receive half of the outcome. By dedicating our energy full time, we are more likely to get satisfying results," she continued.
Along with a team of budding floral artists, Lowee provides one-of-a-kind bridal bouquets, boutonnieres, as well as decorative centerpieces and backdrops. "We try to break away from the traditional, rigid ways of floristry. We want our arrangements to be alive, with a spoonful of wilderness and crafted according to the couple's preferences," said Lowee. Without following fixed templates, she hopes that her creations will be able to represent each couple's personality.
Thanks to her strong philosophy, Lowee has no issues in facing the ever-changing wedding trends. "I think trends should be celebrated, as they make our industry exciting! Sometimes, the latest trend and our signature style can actually complement one another," she explained. "However, it may not be wise to go with requests or trends that clash with our philosophy. If we try too hard to do something we don't believe in, our hesitation will be visible in our work," she added.
Driven by a strong commitment to provide the best service, Lowee and her team have just moved to a retail space. "Previously, we only operated from an online platform. We are so excited to have a space to call home!" she said. If you want to have a consultation with Lowee, don't hesitate to visit her store at Sunshine Plaza, Singapore or visit Keira Floral's profile on Bridestory.
