Francesca and Kevin met during their freshman year in the University of the Philippines Baguio. However, the two were still seeing other people back then. "After a few heartbreaks, we began to see each other in a different light and so our courtship ensued late into our freshman year," Francesca reminisced. After 10 years of being together, the pair finally decided to get married.
"We wanted our wedding to be somewhere with a lot of trees," said Francesca. As their hometown, Manila, was out of the question, their search brought them to Cavite. "The Forest Barn was still new then, having been the venue to only one wedding prior to our booking. It was a total 'this is it' moment for us," said the beautiful bride.
On the wedding day, Francesca had on an ethereal off-the-shoulder white gown with a fit-and-flare cut that looked gorgeous on her. Not to mention the floor-length veil that adorned her low bun; it added such a dramatic effect to her whole look.
The venue did wonders for the couple's wedding color palette of white and evergreen. We especially adore the moment when Francesca walked down the aisle lined by trees to a flower-laden gazebo, under which the pair recited their sacred vows. Held inside a barn, the wedding reception presented such a fun and warm atmosphere while retaining the natural elements of white flowers and greenery.
Francesca had also slipped in some DIY elements to personalize her celebration. "I designed our wedding invitations to look like a chalkboard as a nod to our alma mater. I also added rose elements, including the wax seal, to represent Kevin's first gift when he started courting me," explained the bride.
