In honour of our nation's Golden Jubilee, The Ritz-Carlton Legacy Wedding Showcase on 14 June was a day to celebrate all things Singapore, from old-world decor, sumptuous cuisine to exquisite bridal couture.
The Grand Gallery brought guests back to a bygone era in Singapore's colonial history, while The Grand Ballroom was adorned with four distinct table showcases inspired by Chinese, Indian, Peranakan and Western cultures.
Kicking off the show was wedding singer Tay Kewei of Sparkle Live Music, who performed National Day favourite "Home". That was followed by a Daniel Boey-choreographed showcase of bridal gowns and suits by homegrown couturiers Francis Cheong, Frederick Lee, Vaughn Tan and Leslie Chia of PIMABS.
Guests were also treated to an extensive afternoon tea buffet comprised of authentic local food and beverage presentations, handcrafted by the hotel's culinary team. Highlights included "Lobstercino", Tandoori Kebabs and a delightful desserts spread.
