A love for all things vintage and romantic set the tone for Seth and Shi Hui's wedding celebrations. Befitting of the theme, they zipped around in a rented Volkswagen Beetle and headed to Toa Payoh Town Park for photos – a location popular with couples back in the '70s.
Joining them was a 20-strong bridal entourage of sharply dressed groomsmen in cobalt blue suits with suspenders, and bridesmaids in champagne dresses with sheer necklines and embroidered lace.
The white, gold, blue palette – which also happens to be the crest colours of their alma mater, Singapore Management University – was applied to the entire ballroom of Conrad Centennial Singapore, which was filled with bountiful bundles of baby's breath, white dendrobium orchids and wild flowers.
The bride looked especially stunning in her evening gown – a champagne number with gold embroidery and tulle skirt. Her favourite detail was the stage décor adorned with chiffon drapes, fairy lights and a giant LOVE sign with marquee lights from IM Perfection.
Having previously worked in the wedding industry, Shi Hui chose to DIY a majority of the wedding décor with the help of her capable bridesmaids. That included dressing up the snack and reception table, designing and printing wedding stationery, fashioning their own bouquets, decorating the cars, spray-painting glass bottles and table numbers, and even editing the video montage!
