Clear skies and a gentle sea breeze greeted Korean groom Bae Sanghyun and his Singapore bride Lai Yingqi as they tied the knot at sunset on the grassy knoll that fronts Siloso Beach at Shangri-La's Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa, Singapore.
"We wanted a garden wedding and were searching for a venue where we could have the ceremony and reception together. When we visited Barnacles by the Sea at Rasa Sentosa, the backdrop of raintrees overlooking the sea was just so gorgeous, both of us agreed unanimously to hold the wedding there!" recalls the bride.
Working together with florists from Floral Magic and lighting experts from Midnight Sparks, the couple turned the outdoor venue into a tropical chic set-up complete with a floral arch, Tiffany chairs and fairy lights that lit up the night.
The bride kept her look sweet and simple in a lacy V-necked gown by Alisha & Lace, while her flowy tresses were accessorised with a crown of fresh flowers. Sanghyun kept his look smart casual with jeans and a grey jacket from Benjamin Barker. Befitting of the laidback occasion, guests came togged in relaxed weekend wear, and the bridal entourage danced their way down the aisle for the march-in.
The outdoor dinner reception was cosy, romantic, intimate and fun as it was filled with speeches, live music, dancing, games and delicious Chinese cuisine. "The wedding turned out way more beautiful than what we had imagined, and this could only have been possible thanks to the support of our family, friends and wonderful vendors!"
