Ekta and Jinesh's love story went off to quite a funny start. "We were sitting opposite each other in a group dinner and Ekta instantly caught my eye. I made every effort to impress her. However, all of that work was undone when I was offered some tuna tartare and I replied, 'Nah, I don't really like tomatoes.' To which she replied, 'That's not tomatoes, it's tuna!' Ever since, I was known as the tuna tartare guy and became the butt of jokes for the remainder of the evening," Jinesh recalled.
Their relationship wasn't a smooth sail at first. Ekta played hard to get for the next two years and just as Jinesh was about to give up the chase, sparks began flying. "The next few years were a blur of getting to know each other properly; attending weddings all over the globe, going on holidays and meeting each other's families," Jinesh said. "It was after one such trip to England that I knew I wanted to marry this girl and began setting up plans to pop the question," he continued.
After asking permission from Ekta's parents, which he got pretty easily, and finding the perfect ring, which was also an easy task as Ekta often spoke about the ring she liked, Jinesh was all set to propose. During another wedding trip to Mauritius, as they were off exploring the island, Jinesh found the perfect secluded spot by a waterfall and proposed. "All I managed to get out was 'Will you?' and stared at her blankly. Luckily she got the drift and replied with 'Yes yes yes!' and the rest was history," said Jinesh.
The couple then decided to have their wedding in Bali. "Bali had always been a wedding destination dream of mine since I was 10. Naturally, I was thrilled when Jinesh agreed to let it all come true," Ekta said. In Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Resort, their festive wedding weekend unfolded. The couple started with dinner and an after-party on the first day, followed by the mehndi ceremony that doubled as a pool party on the second day. The day after was for the wedding ceremony, followed by the wedding reception. The couple then ended the whole celebration with a farewell brunch on the last day.
What we love most about the whole four days, though, is how immensely detailed everything was. Jinesh and Ekta chose different themes and provided their guests with dress codes for all their events. For instance, the mehndi had a tropical theme with summery dress code, while the reception was a black-tie affair. Even more amazingly, it was great how Ekta and Jinesh made sure that all their guests were fully entertained during the course of their stay. Numerous shows, attractions, games, and dancing were included and as you can see from the pictures and video captured by Axioo, everyone seemed to have a marvelous time.
