Max and Aster's love for design, and their 2 dogs and 1 cat, manifested in this quirky production that took them all over Singapore – from Jurong Fishery Port (Max loves fishing) to Changi airfield and their office at Kampong Bahru estate.
"We love all things artsy and quirky, and wanted an atypical pre-wedding shoot that could reflect our oddball personalities, and showcase our love for our pets," explains Aster. They worked with photographer friend Thomas Ang of The Peeping Thom who shares the same vision for the unique shoot.
The couple rummaged through Art Friend to source for props and paints, and hand made a stylish pair of angular-shaped moose and fox heads which they brought along to the shoot. "At Jurong Fishery Port, all the busy vendors stopped to whip out their phones to take photos of us wearing our masks. I guess it was as much a once-in-a-lifetime affair for them as it was for us!" she laughs.
Back at their office, they brought along Duncan, a 3-year-old dachshund who looked poised in a black bow-tie. "It was so weird to have a lens pointing at us as we're usually behind-the-scenes, so it was a huge relief that Thomas was our photographer. He really encouraged us to relax and have fun!"
