In an unusual swap of roles, army regular Kelvin let his bride Huishi sit back and relax while he did all the wedding planning for their intimate reception at Alkaff Mansion. They said 'I do' in an outdoor garden wedding under a pavilion - the way Huishi dreamed it
Beautifully captured by Smittenpixels Photography, the wedding venue was dressed in romantic shades of pastel pink, blue and white giving it a sweet vintage-esque feel. They tried to DIY as much as possible like personalising the table displays and gifts for friends and family.
The highlight of the day was the military saber arch flanked by Kelvin's platoon mates. Dressed in full army regalia, the groom walked under the arch with his beautiful bride in tow. That evening, they hosted a classy dinner reception within the mansion peppered with 'live' music and speeches.
"The couple smiled and laughed a lot the entire day. It was unpretentious and real in every way. Their 'thank you' speech was one of the most heartfelt we've ever heard as they thanked each and everyone for gracing their wedding. They were also exceptionally kind to all of the vendors involved and we felt extremely appreciated!" recalls photographer Fiona Sng.
