Jason Guan and Lim Lee Tiang set out to beat the odds: Not only was their special day held outdoors at Shangri-La's Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa, Singapore — they insisted that it be on the beach, far from the nearest shelter.
Even the hotel's wedding planners applauded the couple's bold move even as they fretted about contingency plans. "It wouldn't be an outdoor wedding if we were sheltered," laughs the bride. "We had all our friends and family praying to different gods for luck [and the weather] to be on our side!"
Amidst a sea of guests dressed in white, the bride stood out in a romantic peach-and-ivory gown layered with soft tulle, while the groom looked dashing in a light grey suit. "The rest of the evening, he went without his blazer, threw on a vest and wore sandals!" says Lee Tiang.
After a night of great food, "live" music, heartfelt speeches and copious amounts of alcohol, we heard the groom had to be carted away on a banquet trolley because he was so inebriated!
