It was laidback and intimate celebration for Haw Rer and Huai Ying at Hotel Jen Tanglin's Temasek Ballroom, which was adorned with white, pink, and green flora to evoke a rustic indoor garden for the couple's wedding. "We really liked the layout of the Temasek ballroom as it had a long aisle for the wedding march in. At the same time, the windows in the ballroom created a bright and cosy ambience," shared the bride.
For the first wedding march, Huai Ying was elegant in a white trumpet dress with a strapless lace bodice from The Gown Warehouse, her brown hair braided back loosely in a knot and accessorised with flowers. Haw Re kept it simple in a light blue shirt and black suit sans tie, with a matching boutonnière.
Following a short dance by the bridesmaids choreographed by the bride to "Counting Stars", the sweethearts made their second entrance for the march-in.
The seven-course Chinese luncheon, complemented by a mouth-watering salted caramel popcorn cake courtesy of Lola's Cafe and confectionery from Butter Studio came to a close with a casual photoshoot at the nearby Botanic Gardens. Photographed by Hong Ray, the couple was all smiles in perfectly captured candid shots amongst their close friends.
Despite a short planning period of three months and a few hiccups (the bride lost her voice on the wedding day!), Huai Ying commented that she was really pleased with the wedding. "It was smooth sailing and turned out to be exactly what we envisioned, a small and intimate celebration with our close friends and family."
