Celebrity weddings are indeed inspirational, that's why we often find ourselves taking the cues from the trends they were setting on their big day. Aside from the wedding gowns or beautiful decoration concepts these famous brides had for their wedding, today we're looking into the local places around the Philippines they picked as their wedding location. If you're lucky, you can also walk down on the same aisle as these celebs before and share a historical venue with your favorite stars!
1. Boracay
Known for its white sand beach and clear blue waters, Boracay is one of the most favorite tropical destinations for weddings and honeymoons. For star couple Maxene Magalona and Rob Mananquil, Shangri-La's Boracay Resort and Spa was the perfect place for their beach weddings. Maxene and Rob accentuated their beachfront wedding space with all-white decorations and exchanged their vows under the coconut trees.
Following Max's footstep, singer Rachelle Ann Go also celebrated her wedding to Martin Spies at the same venue a few months later!
2. Palawan
Back in 2014, TV host Bianca Gonzales and her basketball player beau JC Intal took their guests to El Nido Resort in Lagen Island, Palawan to celebrate their union. The venue was absolutely private, with breathtaking jungle-like surroundings, and wonderful seascape that also features magnificent rock formations. Also suitable for adventurous couples who want to dive right into the ocean after their solemn ceremony, or go island hopping for the honeymoon, Palawan is a spot that will give you such an intense serenity and isolated leisure.
3. Tagaytay
Popular holiday town Tagaytay is the home a small volcano and the place model Bea Soriano picked as her wedding location. Fine-dining restaurant Antonio's known for their exquisite dishes and sophisticated ambiance was transformed into a magical secret garden that oozed romantic and dreamy vibe. With its cool weather, various culinary choices, and beautifully rustic sceneries, no wonder if Palawan is dubbed as the Wedding Capital of the Philippines!
4. Balesin
In 2015, Heart Evangelista married Sen. Francis Escudero in the exclusive island of Balesin. Their wedding celebration was luxurious, private, and truly iconic as the power couple turned the island venue into such a posh and glamorous spot.
Earlier this year, we also caught a glimpse of another Balesin wedding from Billy Crawford and Coleen Garcia. The lovebirds had their tropical-paradise wedding at the Spanish-inspired Costa del Sol, which was adorned with colorful flowers for this blissful bash.
5. Quezon City
Nature-lovers, and apparently engaged couples as well, are being attracted to visit by the pristine beaches and Mount Banahaw that are located in the different parts of the province. Just like Callalily lead vocalist Kean Cipriano and actress Chynna Ortaleza who held their church wedding at the Hearts of Jesus and Mary Parish in Quezon City, two years after their civil ceremony. After the nuptial procession, the couple then celebrated their marriage with an intimate reception at Pio's Kitchen in Diliman.
6. Batangas
The lovely province is popular for its diving spots, open beaches, natural caves and also historical heritage sites. TV stars Iya Villania and Drew Arellano picked an uber-romantic Meditation Point at the Kawayan Cove, Batangas for their wedding back in 2014. After sharing their sacred vow on a cliff overlooking the bay with such a breathtaking panoramic view, Iya and Drew then held a reception at the Bamboo Beach Club nearby.
While a few years later, actress Camille Prats and VJ Yambao also decided to tie the knot in Batangas. This time the celeb couple picked Nayomi Sanctuary Resort as the venue of their special celebration. We absolutely love their outdoor garden party as it has such a breezy and romantic vibe!
7. Manila
As the capital city, surely you can find numerous wedding venues in Manila, ranging from hotels, wedding halls, restaurants, and even gardens and parks. For actors couple Max Collins and Pancho Magno, Marriott Hotel Manila was the perfect pick for their glamorous gala. To create a natural and lush garden atmosphere in an indoor setting, they filled the hotel's ballroom area with flowers and greeneries. Crystal chandeliers then being put up to inject an elegant finishing touch and light up the room as they danced the night away.
