A venue can be the biggest inspiration and it rings true for today's featured pre-wedding session. Inspired by a Cantonese-style restaurant in Singapore, Ken and Lyn decided to immerse in the 1980s orient glamor and created a photo shoot that was perfectly suitable with the venue's interior. Inside the red-lit restaurant, Ken and Lyn were not at all shy to show off their intimate connection. With big Hollywood-glamor-inspired curls and a statement headpiece, Lyn looked like the ultimate vintage vixen. While Ken, clad in his own bespoke suit collection, wore a suit with clean lines and subtle layering which brings a contemporary spin to his otherwise classic suit..
What we love most about the whole shoot, however, is the fact that even when the looks are inspired by a vintage era, each one of them wouldn't look out of place in a modern-day wedding. Do you agree? Tell us what you think in the comment box below and don't forget to add your favorite Images to the inspiration board!
More from the makeup artist:
For Lyn's first look, The Gown Warehouse went for an understated look, with a choice of soft flowy fabric for the flared sleeves, modest sweet heart neckline, and minute details - drawing on the charms of the old world. The trumpeted silhouette of her gown accentuated her figure and was kept in line with the style and theme. Our team at Makeup Maestro modernized her look by giving her a sleek but fluffy bun, embellished with a simple vintage hair band to create a visual harmony with her dress. Makeup-wise, to enhance Lyn's large expressive eyes, our Maestro Artist worked on giving her voluminous fluttery lashes and winged tip eyeliners.
The other dress was contrasted with a dramatic display of strategically placed lace, to create a daring neckline. Akin to cherry on top of a cake, our makeup artist also cleverly blended a shade of Wine Orange for Lyn's lips, a little special touch to compliment her bouquet. Liz Floral brilliantly put together a medley of deep colored blossoms, paired with an assortment of foliage to create an exquisite arrangement that is visually pleasing not only to the eye, but in pictures as well. Lastly, all photos are beautifully captured by Louis from Joy De Vi who has captured the essence of the location, as well as the quintessence of our star couple.
