Denitsa, who is Bulgarian, and Bali-born Maitri first met while studying abroad. After being together for seven years, they finally decided to tie the knot in Ubud, which happened to be Maitri's hometown and the place where the couple wished to grow old together. Their venue of choice was Villa White Lotus, a charming villa nestled in Sayan, only 10 minutes away from the center of Ubud.
The villa's vast tropical garden was decorated in an understated rustic theme that suited Denitsa and Maitri's personality perfectly. At night, the garden was transformed into an even more romantic reception venue filled with greenery, wooden ornaments, glowing lights, and of course, plenty of Balinese charm.
But what made the wedding so special didn't have anything to do with the lovely venue or decorations. During the wedding ceremony, Denitsa and Maitri decided to plant a tree together to symbolize their own love story. The soil represented their selves, the seed symbolized their hearts, while the water depicted their love, which will continue to grow stronger as they stand side by side as husband and wife. Beautiful, don't you think?
