The story of Adi and Citra is interesting to say the least. "Adi was my boyfriend back in high school, and we remained as close friends even after the relationship ended. Earlier this year, Adi started to approach me again. At the time, I was tired of relationships that went nowhere so I told him to directly ask my parents for my hand in marriage if he was really serious," Citra reminisced. As it turned out, Adi did ask Citra's parents and during that meeting, they immediately decided on engagement and wedding dates. Thus, the wedding planning began.
Adi and Citra went with an ethnic theme for their pre-wedding shoot, incorporating Citra's own collection of tenun fabric from East Nusa Tenggara. "Neither Adi nor I am from East Nusa Tenggara. Even so, I admire their traditional fabrics so much; especially how they are weaved by hand and how distinctive the patterns are," said Citra. The couple cleverly used the fabrics as their wardrobe and draped some as their photo backdrop. Large green leaves were added here and there, providing a botanical feel that emphasizes the modern feel of the shoot.
Although the set was so well made, the couple did feel nervous on the day of the shoot. "Adi and I didn't date for long the second time around and immediately started planning our wedding, so it felt a little awkward at first. However, the photographer quickly broke the ice and the whole shoot became so enjoyable," Citra said. Take another look at the photos by Little Story Photo and let yourself be inspired.
