Today's wedding is "one of the greatest days of my life thus far", claimed the bride and we can't imagine how truer it can be. All elements in the wedding are beautiful and pleasant and it all comes together into one charming wedding. What's most beautiful about the wedding though, is to see how all the guests and family had so much fun and joyously celebrated the day with the couple. A little note from the bride:
Before I start, here is a bit on Portuguese culture. In Portuguese culture, family and friends arrive at the bride and grooms houses prior to the church ceremony to have appetizers and champagne. This is usually around 10 or 11 in the morning. From there, everyone goes in the caravan to the church and then on to the reception venue to celebrate, which usually lasts until around 4 to 6 am the next day. My wedding was one of the greatest days of my life thus far because we were able to get all of our closest family and friends together to celebrate our love and our beautiful daughter, Olivia. The day was magical, and I owe most of it to the amazing wedding planners and staff at Parque da Penha, Portugal. The venue alone was breathtaking, lush and green as it is situated in a private park at the top of a mountain. The owners and our wedding planners made sure that every detail down to providing 10 baby sitters to take care of the 40 children at the wedding and left us, the adults, with no worries except to enjoy the party. It was so much fun, even my husband said he wishes he could do this every year!
