Since the first time we got our hands on Adéle and Hermann's wedding album, we were blown away by its charming simplicity and rustic elegance. Adéle is an artist and curator while Hermann is a film producer. This artistic couple has opted to celebrate their special day at Babylonstoren, a place built with Cape Dutch style nestled in one of the most beautiful areas in South Africa. With a dedication to organic farming, presenting produce direct from local bountiful garden and history embedded in buildings, the location struck a fine balance with the modernist, clean approach to life that Adéle and Hermann appreciates. Set in such historical architecture and picturesque scenery, their wedding was uniquely flawless.
Their rustic decoration was dominated with white, leafy green, raw wooden brown and hint of old yellow mustard without using too many ornaments which perfectly beautify with just the use of light camel benches for the guests. What caught our eye was the swing they use as the altar's seating chair. Designed with only a simple combination of flowers and twigs, it gave their wedding an intimate and a slightly playful vibe. Through the lenses of DNA Photography, every aspect of this wedding was greatly captured with one wonderful moment surpassing another. We bet their wedding will absolutely give you a beautiful long lasting impression. Can't wait to see it? Enjoy their wedding album here.

A story about the couple and their wedding:
The couple have actually met a long time ago: Having studied together for 4 years during their study in Fine Arts in South Africa, their inquisitive minds soon parted ways as they needed to learn about life, practice creativity and experience love in their own separate ways. In hindsight, it was almost as if life took it upon itself to shape each person through learning them about themselves and others, in preparation of this all encompassing, deep-seated love they share today. And so the couple embarked on 2 year long-distance relationship despite warnings and words of caution from all around. The attraction was just too strong to deny.
The couple got engaged and subsequently, tied the knot in April 2015 at the most beautiful setting. The valuable lessons learnt during their time apart – the importance of making every second in life count, the significance of communication and trusting one another, the quest for creativity and the importance of valuing the privilege of sharing a life together – forms the foundation of the love they share and nurture today. The wedding was inspired by the beauty of simplicity the couple is attracted to. A natural, farm-like simplicity coupled with elegance and perfection made the choice of venue a simple one.
