An Artsy Pre-Wedding Shoot with a Hint of Street Style

Today's lovely couple first met in college, around five years ago. During a romantic dinner at the Padma Hotel Bandung many years after, Jerry got down on one knee and gave Marsha a sapphire ring, which happened to be her birthstone. "It was engraved with our nickname and anniversary date. Sapphire is a symbol of loyalty and trust, and it's my favorite color too," explained Marsha.

At first, Marsha and Jerry had no idea how their pre-wedding photos should be like. "But one thing for sure, we didn't want to dress up in a suit and ball gown and lay around on a field of grass or flower garden. So, we tried to come up with something that kept us comfortable and reflected who we are as a couple," she added.

Marsha soon enlisted the help of her former classmate, photographer Martin Kho, to create a truly memorable engagement album. For their engagement session, they couple decided to retrace their first encounter and college days back in Karawaci. Marsha and Jerry dressed casually and explored the neighborhood and before having an indoor session at Martin's studio nearby.

Inspired by Urban Outfitters, Hypebeast, and Taylor Swift's "Style" music video, Marsha and Jerry's pre-wedding photos turned out just the way they wanted: urban, artsy, and reflecting their personality. Even more importantly, the engagement session was a chance to revisit the moments that brought them together in the first place. "Every place we went to was very nostalgic and memorable for the both of us. Our photographer, Martin is also very talented and creative, yet humble. We had so much fun thanks to him!" said Marsha.
