Shihui and Ruichuen had been best friends since they were teenagers. Somehow, love always manages to find its way, and the couple finally decided to spend the rest of their lives together years later. They both agreed to have an elopement by the magnificent Lake Tekapo in Christchurch, New Zealand. The season was just right, as the meadow was filled with Russell lupine, lavender-like flowers that bloom gorgeously as summer approaches. With the spectacular mountainous view of the Southern Alps, Shihui and Ruichue walked down the aisle romantically on the stony path and tears of joy streamed down their faces while they exchanged their vows. There were just the two of them and a few vendors around, but nothing could beat the heartwarming intimacy shared during this truly special moment. Arranged wonderfully by Light Up Weddings, this elopement album will leave you in awe.
Some words from the wedding planner:
They reached out to us and brought out the idea of having an elopement wedding in New Zealand. Being smitten by their love story, without a doubt, we immediately said yes and we wholeheartedly adored the idea! A destination wedding is still a pretty new idea in Malaysia, but we can definitely see it growing for several good reasons: less stress, less cost (if well-planned), and absolutely more fun! We were so excited to be a part of the wedding. Everything felt so natural and romantic, and was truly surrounded with the idea of celebrating their union, without the need of throwing a lavish and festive party to impress anyone out there.
