A Rustic Barn Wedding on the Blue Ridge Mountains

With majestic mountain views as their backdrop, Benj and Madilyn said their "I do"s witnessed by their closest relatives and friends. These two seem to be a couple loved by many, as their loved ones celebrated their union so wholeheartedly. "The bridesmaids sobbed as Madilyn put her dress on and both sets of parents held each of their own tightly before letting them go. It was all so beautiful," said Nicola Harger, their wedding photographer. "Friends and family celebrated every aspect of their love; from tears to joy-filled hugs and laughter," she added.

On the day of the wedding, Madilyn slipped into an A-line gown with thin spaghetti straps and a low back-line that was alluring yet elegant through and through. It fitted her figure so well, and her low chignon as well as rustic bouquet complemented the whole ensemble. After the ceremony, Madilyn and Benj, who was clad in a fine blue suit, headed out to the wilderness and took a few pictures together as husband and wife.

Next was the reception. It was held in a barn-house which suited their rustic wedding theme. "Madilyn made most of the decor and art herself, and wanted nothing to do with cliches. Everything was unique to her and Benj," Nicola said. Wooden tables with green vine runners along with candles and over-head fairy lights imbued that earthy barn feeling. That's not all, the couple even took it one notch further by opening a coffee bar and including all sorts of breakfast items in their menu such as crusty bread, fresh milk, and cheese. Such a clever way to vamp up a barn wedding, don't you think?

Every frame showcased how wonderful the wedding was, exactly how Nicola Harger had envisioned it. "I aimed to photograph the raw emotions behind this day. Their love for each other spilled out in tears, joy, and laughter; all the moments that make you feel something." she said.
