You can immediately tell when a couple has great chemistry. Priska and Aldo's bond was so strong, they agreed to walk into marriage without a get-down-on-one-knee proposal. "We only did a Chinese engagement ceremony and he gave me a promise ring," explained Priska. "We're not a super romantic couple, and when we try to be that way, we feel so silly! We prefer real moments and being ourselves," she continued.
As Priska and Aldo are lucky to call Bali their home, they decided to get married on the beautiful island. Villa Latitude was their venue of choice. "From the very first time, we knew that it was the right place. The views and the white color scheme suited our rustic theme and neutral palette so well," said Priska. After six months of planning, their big day finally arrived.
Priska looked like a fairy out of a story book in her flowing white gown and simple vine crown. Meanwhile, Aldo was dapper in a royal blue checked suit. Adorned with decorations by Steve's Decor, their ceremony was indeed a dream come true; but what we love the most is their short photo session on the beach afterwards.
Aldo and Priska had perfect timing, as the sun was just setting. The calm breeze also made everything look so natural. Every moment was expertly captured in film by Axioo, who also took Priska and Aldo's pre-wedding photos. "We love film photos. The results are everlasting, not to mention the color, mood, and feel of the pictures are very different compared to photos taken using a digital camera," Priska explained.
Their reception was a blast and all the guests had a great time. "That day, we were tense, happy, and overwhelmed with feelings. But on top of all that, we felt like God blessed us with so much more than we deserved," Priska recalled. Take one more look at the pictures and read on as Priska tells us more about her wedding planning and vendors.
From the bride:
Align your wedding style with your venue. Don't combine two things that don't go well together. You can also hire a stylist if you want someone to combine all the details in harmony. Next, stick to one vendor for your photography and videography. It will be better for the team's coordination and chemistry, and it's nice to have the same tone for your photos and videos! Also, pick a venue you can do everything in; the ceremony, reception, preparation. If possible, stay the night there too. You don't want to look tired on the day and it's also much more time efficient. Lastly, prepare around 25% extra budget for unexpected expenses.
We felt so blessed by the presence of our vendors, who we now consider as friends. The Axioo team helped us to loosen up for our photos. Lona, the makeup artist, treated me super special that day. She even stayed a little longer just to make sure everything was perfect. And of course, my wedding dress by the talented Diana Putri, who brought my vision and imagination to life.
