The love story of Elizabeth and Wai Fong is not the typical office romance, although the pair did meet while working for the same magazine. As advertising professionals, their conversations mostly revolved around whose clients got what. It was not until a few years later, when one of them had already left the company, that they started seeing each other more. Now, here they are, capturing precious pre-wedding moments to cherish for life.
One day, during one of Elizabeth's business trips to Shanghai, Wai Fong flew in two days before and surprised her with an unforgettable wedding proposal. Thus, a Shanghai-inspired engagement shoot was chosen to treasure memories of the proposal and the many trips they took to the city. More specifically, Elizabeth and Wai Fong wanted to channel the glamorous vibe of Shanghai in the 1920s and 1930s, back when it was referred to as the Paris of the East and the New York of the West.
Through each photograph, this couple managed to bring that glorious era back to life. Every picture was perfectly captured by Petaling Jaya-based photographer, Chester Kher Creations. Interestingly, Elizabeth and Wai Fong also adapted the Shanghai-inspired concept as their wedding theme and dress code, "Suits & Cheongsams".
