From the very beginning, Jenna and Rory had decided on three things. First, they had to have a destination wedding away from their hometown, Melbourne. Next, it should be a backyard celebration filled with bohemian elements. And finally, they wanted to pay tribute to their Jewish roots. Having Bali as their wedding location was definitely a great choice. The whole island is filled with an irresistibly laid-back and exotic atmosphere, and the couple's venue, Pure Villa in Canggu had the kind of vast lawn that they were looking for.
Jenna and Rory had a traditional Jewish wedding procession, complete with a lace-adorned wooden chuppah for the ceremony. The couple continued with the glass-breaking tradition before reading their marriage contract and finally drinking wine from a kiddush cup. After finishing the ceremony, they headed to a paddy field for a short couple photo session before enjoying an intimate reception with their guests.
For the reception, the couple laid out wooden dinner tables with lace runners adorned with green vines to enhance the natural, Bohemian ambience. They also prepared comfortable carpets with pillows and tables for guests who preferred more laid-back seating. It's as if everything about the wedding was designed to be stress-free, even for the bride and groom. "Thankfully, Jenna had eight bridesmaids who kept her busy enough, she didn't have any time to feel nervous," said their decorator, Flora Botanica Designs. "In the morning, the two ate breakfast together and Rory even had the time to go to a barbershop before the wedding," she continued.
