Valerie first met Ryan at a flight school, where he was a student and she had just started working. The two quickly realized that they shared a few mutual friends. "We hung out casually for almost a year before he went to Australia," Valerie reminisced. "It wasn't love at first sight or anything. Ryan was focused on his training and wasn't about to get distracted by a girl back home," she added.
When Ryan returned to Singapore, the two reconnected and had dinner together. "We met up to discuss my recent trip to Italy, as he was planning to visit the country," Valerie recalled. As it turned out, their conversation flowed endlessly. They soon became running buddies, had movie dates, and even went to church together. "It felt as if we had known each other from lifetimes before. We're so alike in some aspects but quite different in others too!" she added. "Moreover, we both knew exactly what we wanted for our future, which is to build a home and have children," said Valerie. After their families met, everything came together seamlessly and the wedding day finally unfolded.
For the wedding ceremony, Valerie donned a beautiful white gown with a sheer back panel that showed off her tattoo. Her red lipstick perfectly matched the shades of burgundy that could be found out throughout the celebration, from the flower bouquet to the Indian sari attires worn by the bridesmaids.
After saying their "I do"s, Valerie and Ryan had their first dance as husband and wife at Capella Singapore. Their guests then enjoyed a banquet dinner while waiting for the couple's second march-in. This time, Valerie wore an alluring red dress with beautiful back details and let her hair down into loose curls. Ryan also changed into a more festive navy suit for the evening. After the wedding toasts, the newlyweds sang and danced with their guests. From the photos alone, you can tell that it was such a wonderful night.
