Samantha and Dan started their big day by taking first-look photographs at various locations near their wedding venue at 26 Bridge Street in DUMBO, Down Under Manhattan Bridge Overpass, Brooklyn. Not too far away was Jane's Carousel, a magnificent 48-horse wooden carousel that was built back in 1922, restored, then reopened in 2011. With such an enchanting history, of course, Samantha and Dan did not want to miss out on taking pictures there. Surprisingly, Samantha and Dan got an early wedding gift as a kind man in front of them bought them a free carousel ride. Every moment on the carousel, lovingly captured by Bri Johnson Weddings, was so fun and dreamy. When their time was up, Samantha and Dan headed back to the venue to get ready for the wedding ceremony.
The ceremony took place in a former metal factory, an imposing structure with a truly impressive, industrial atmosphere. Samantha and Dan decorated this gorgeous place with a touch of art deco here and there, matching perfectly with the brick walls, wooden doors, and high ceiling draped in fairly lights. Not long after the wedding ceremony, the band Almost Easy, was ready to get the party started. Needless to say, the celebration gave way to plenty of a-once-in-a-lifetime memories
