The winner of Bridestory's Once Upon a Bride giveaway, June Ou, wrote a long and endearing message along with her parents' old wedding picture when entering the competition, "My parents have always told their daughters to marry the one who truly love us for who we are and not for the material things they have. My mum fell really ill when we were younger and had to be hospitalized for weeks in the ICU. Instead of worrying about herself, our then-sick-and-weak mum was worried about the most trivial matters about us, like whether we had anyone to tie our hair prettily for school. We also witnessed how exhausted and worried our dad was having to juggle work and visits to the hospital, while also sending and picking us from school in between. Our parents have really showed us what unconditional love is and how much love parents can have for their children. I guess we'll always be their babies! A few weeks ago, my mum jokingly said she'll be wearing a gown alongside me for my wedding this year as 'it's been a while'. I take that as a hint and hope to win this for our parents to take a new set of wedding photos version 2.0!"
June's love for her parents truly shows how great of a marriage Mr. and Mrs. Ou has had. Their daughters' excitement for this remake of wedding pictures truly shows as they both joined in for the shoot. This happy family started with an unexpected encounter at an electronic store where Mr. Ou worked. They believed it was love at the first sight and they began phoning for hours ever since the meetup. About 39 years after their first movie date, they celebrated their 30th anniversary with their two beautiful daughters in Hotel Fort Canning, remaking the miraculous moments of their wedding. We are truly glad to make this family reminisce on all their happy memories and making new ones with this photo session, with the help and involvement from talented local vendors.
On the day of the photoshoot, the loving mother was clad in La Belle Couture's wedding dress and glammed up by Make Up Entourage, while Mr. Ou looked dapper in a suit tailored by Amos Marcus. Completing the fresh wedding look was a vibrant bouquet by Season Glamour and jewelleries by Vault Fine Jewellery. The couple of 30 years took the pictures in a wedding-like venue, cleverly set up by Rosette Designs & Co. As a special touch to this occasion, they also had an illustration made for them by Art Claytion to remember for the rest of their happily-married life.
Finally, June's anniversary gift for her loving parents was wrapped in pictures and videos by We Are Trouve and Back Alley Creations.
