Pantone made waves in the wedding world when it released its latest Color of the Year. "Greenery offered such a refreshing take to the usual color palette. I knew we had to do a styled shoot on this," said Singapore-based wedding stylist, 8Dec. "Around the same time, a couple came in and asked us to be their stylist. They fit the theme I had in mind so much, I thought it would be nice to style an engagement shoot for them!" she added.
White and gold elements were used alongside fresh green hues to inject a modern feel into the entire shoot. "Using only foliage gives a laid-back and botanical feel. But simply by incorporating gold and copper elements, you can bring out a sense of edginess while keeping things clean and crisp," the stylist explained.
Armed with such a strong concept, the team was ready to face any challenge on the day of the shoot. "We were taking photos when suddenly a strong gush of wind sent the props flying all over the place. We had to run around to catch the items and tape them down," the stylist said. Moreover, the photo shoot location was an industrial area surrounded by buildings. "It was hard to keep the buildings out of sight," she added.
Eight hours later, the photo shoot was finally finished and the results do not disappoint. Greenery took center stage, white flowers added a sense of elegance, while gold elements instilled a modern atmosphere.
