Mark and Ning

Right off the bat, I knew we would get along very well, with a common love of the outdoors & coffee, as well as a shared interest in photography with Mark a self-professed photography nerd. Early in our conversations we knew we wanted to incorporate an emotive lo-fi approach to the session, with most of the images shot on film including a number shot using a vintage large format film camera from the 1950s. Mark & Ning wanted an engagement session here in Melbourne, having spent the blossoming years of their relationship here while studying at the University of Melbourne. I could tell Melbourne held a special place in their hearts as they opened up on the day living together in a small apartment on Grattan street in Carlton with Gandalf their Russian blue cat, going for walks in Princess Park, laying on the grass in Carlton Gardens, and going out for brunch every chance they had. We had such a great time exploring the beautiful Victorian outdoors & stunning university grounds, & it’s always such a privilege hosting Singaporean friends for engagement sessions here.
