//our next chapter in life\\ When The Next Chapter Film was launched on 1 September 2014, Joreen and Shane was first couple that we featured our logo. Upon hearing Shane's vow (6m17s), it was as though the logo launch was Heaven's will. We knew that the timing couldn't have been more impeccable to launch our logo, our company, with Joreen and Shane as the first official couple under The Next Chapter Film. We first met Joreen and Shane in July 2013 and their wedding was supposed to be held on 29 November 2014. Unfortunately, a year after our meeting, they had to bring forward their wedding to be held on 6 and 7 September 2014 with the passing of Shane's grandmother. It really saddens everyone in the family to have a loved one passed away in the midst of the wedding preparations. To quote an extract from Shane's speech during the reception, "In the midst of our wedding preparations this year, an incident struck the entire family, with the passing of one very dear member in the Wong family. Even though she is no longer with us here, I believe firmly that she is witnessing our wedding from somewhere in another world, giving us her most utmost sincere blessing. That person is my beloved grandmother, ma-ma." It was a statement-from-the-heart, which I could relate to very much because I've also lost my grandmother before she could witness the union of my fiancée and I. Shane spoke from his heart, everyone else listened with their hearts. With death, comes life. Shane's grandmother may be in another world, but I'm sure it's her wish to see Shane and Joreen tie the nuptial knot. We were thankful that we were not booked on their wedding day and were still able to carry out our duties with Shane and Joreen, to capture their big day. Ever since university graduation, we've been floating around, as a nameless freelance wedding videography company for the past two years. The Next Chapter Film was a name that came about in June 2014 and it was from there, we began brainstorming for logo designs and our motto. We registered the business on 1 September 2014 (Monday), 8th day of the 8th month in the Chinese Lunar Calendar, and we're finally moving on into our own next chapter as a company. With this video, it marked the start for us, The Next Chapter Film, a new beginning, just like Joreen and Shane.
