Mei and Brian had been in Los Angeles-Jakarta long-distance relationship. Had been traveling together to various places, the proposal was finally popped out from Brian during their holiday at Big Bear, California. Brian asked Mei to marry him in front of their cabin with a dramatic pine trees forest.
Long before, Mei had once shared her wish to have a wedding on a woodland to her childhood friend, Mia, whom also the owner of Her Maid of Honor. Unfortunately, under certain circumstances, the plan had to dismiss. "To make her dream real, also because I was inspired by their engagement moment, I intentionally styled their wedding with lots of pine details," as explained by Mia who received the honor to decorate the venue.
Little yet meaningful details did not stop there. The dining tables were labeled with names of places the couples had ever visited during their love journey. Lines of tiny lamps became the feast's shelter that looked in rhymes with the summer sky of the Island of Gods. Sets of white flowers, such as david austen roses, snowberry and silver dust provided by Flora Botanica which was arranged by Her Maid of Honor successfully added a romantic laid-back mood. The modesty of this celebration was well-presented by the wooden brown color on the decoration and low center pieces on the tables.
"Both of them really wanted an intimate celebration. There were not more than 100 guests who came," Ester from Cotton Project as the planner explained. Every guest looked enjoy the hospitality, especially since the food was cooked directly on the area by the chef. Mei and Brian also seemed very relaxed the entire day and enjoyed each moment.
