Founder of Winnie Cake Couture, Win Nie started out as an avid home baker selling birthday cakes and cupcakes in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She then took her hobby to the next level through a one-month internship with a reputable cake couturier in Singapore. "I fell in love with the very idea of wedding cakes as they are presented in beautifully-decorated venues. There's also no better feeling than watching your creation be a part of a couple's most treasured memory," said Winnie.
Win Nie strives to introduce fresh ideas to Malaysian couples by producing modern, minimalist, yet romantic and elegant delicacies. "Think of haute couture, but with wedding cakes instead," Win Nie explained. She draws inspiration for her designs from a wide range of sources, especially from architecture, nature, and pottery. "My designs are very bold, and soon I will be releasing a line of wedding cakes never before seen in this industry," she shared.
