Stephanie Chan forayed into the world of wedding cakes and favors when she got involved in her best friend's celebration. The experience would soon inspire her to produce more bespoke confections that could represent every couple's personality. In September 2011, she established Salts Cake Couture, crystallizing her commitment to bringing that extra lift, just like salt, to her clients' special occasions.
At Salts Cake Couture, wedding cakes are made and styled with love, not to mention, with the utmost attention to detail. "The smile and twinkle in the eye on the wedding day are what motivate me to go above and beyond to ensure that every order exceeds expectations," said Stephanie. Her bespoke service promises that each cake will be created especially for the couple. According to Stephanie, a personalized cake will act as a centerpiece that invites rich interaction among the couple and their guests.
In running her company, Stephanie shared how being based in Singapore has its usual challenges of logistics and finance. "Most of my supplies come from overseas, while at the same time I have to guarantee the quality and timeliness for my clients," she explained. "However, my family and friends have always been my greatest fans and critics. Knowing that I have their honest feedback, opinion, and also unwavering support has really helped me to overcome these difficulties," concluded Stephanie.
