Initially, makeup was just a hobby for Priscilla Myrna. After freelancing as a magazine beauty contributor for several years, she decided to take her passion to another level. "Kevyn Aucoin's legendary book, Making Faces, inspired me to become a makeup artist," recalled Priscilla. She then pursued classes and training in Jakarta, Hong Kong, even Paris to learn makeup from the experts.
In 2011, Priscilla started her career as a makeup artist with a focus on corrective makeup. She strives to create simple, classic, and natural looks with extra attention to small details. In doing so, Priscilla shies away from the latest beauty trends, preferring to stay true to her timeless signature style instead. "For me, makeup is not about following trends. It is about making people look beautiful and feel confident," she explained.
Throughout the years, Priscilla has never stopped making a mark on her journey as a makeup artist. "During the first few years of my career, getting recognition was really hard. However, I always try to work harder and do every single project with my heart," she said. Aside from weddings, she even works on makeup for editorial spreads and commercial campaigns. In the future, she also plans to have a solo exhibition in collaboration with a designer and photographer.
