Jessica Saputra and Handy Yonathan founded their accessory brand while planning their own wedding in December 2016. Just like any other couple, they wanted to have something personal that could convey their taste and personality on the big day.
Guided by their background in the jewelry design industry, the pair soon established Ayyara. "Our jewelry is handmade in our workshop using the fine art of Indonesian filigree, which is a traditional metalworking technique often found in earlier Javanese culture," said Jessica. Each piece is made of 925 sterling silver and gold vermeil, which makes it even more precious.
Interestingly, Ayyara offers a full customization service to meet the needs and wants of each bride. Using a personal approach, Jessica and Handy will gladly invite every client to engage in the entire design process—from start to finish. "This way, we can understand the needs of each bride and wedding, then transform those needs into a finished headpiece or jewelry that checks all the boxes," said Jessica.
