It was during their university years that these two lovers met. "It all started when Derrick asked about a pair of Dr. Martens boots that I was wearing, which lead to more conversations about many other things," Mandy recalled. The two hit it off right away as good friends and travel buddies as they both lived along the Northwest Line in Singapore. "Derrick and I were friends for about a year before we finally started dating," added the lovely bride.
Mandy and Derrick took their time to get to know each other better before deciding to get married. "We dated for five years and have had a fair share of arguments and disagreements along the way," said Mandy. Eventually, marriage became a natural decision for the couple. "There was no magical moment about finding 'the one'. We built our relationship based on mutual trust and honesty. Being two very different people, I guess we simply complemented each other," she shared.
The two then enlisted the help of Annabel Law, who happens to be Derrick's longtime friend, to help document the wedding. "Annabel is a strong character who knows what she's good at," Mandy said. The results? Heartfelt, lively photos filled with unforgettable moments from their merry celebration at Chijmes Hall. The smiles on everyone's faces showed just how enjoyable the day was, and how loved this charming couple are by all their friends and family.
