As an expression of gratitude for his six-year journey as a fashion designer, Bramanta Wijaya hosted a show presenting 'Faithfully', his Spring/Summer 2018 collection. Glamor and sophistication of the 1930s was his main inspiration for this season. Mixing elements and cutting variation into his creations, fashion-enthusiasts will be taken to feel the richness of old Hollywood glamor, an era known for feminine and romantic fashion inspired by the beauty of women's body.
In line with his vision to create beauty in the world through fashion, Bramanta's creations are focused on enhancing the beauty of the wearer through dresses infused with his signature style: simple but not plain, classic but not old. Meshing lace patterns and creating custom lace patterns through embroidery, Bramanta conveys a sense of freedom into this season's collection. The unification of airy materials and luxurious laces are shaped into an array of dresses with low backs, capes and cloaks with halter neck and fringe details. As a result? 16 stunning gowns that shows excellent workmanship.
Right before the finale, the designer himself stepped right down the runway and surprised his guests by singing 'Sampai Jadi Debu' a hit song from indie band, Bandaneira. "It was the lyrics that caught me most," he said. "The storm has passed, now we walk by faith. Because for me, this career is like a marriage; one that I will keep on doing even until my last breath. It's quite cliché, but that's the way it is" explained Bramanta.
Bramanta Wijaya believes that it was his faith and love for fashion that had lead him to the sixth year of existence, and to many more years to come. Through 'Faithfully', he wishes to show that this is a dream that he will always pursue, sincerely, loyally and faithfully. "For faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see," said the mogul.
