You'd never guess by looking at Mathieu Perissutti and Carolina Lee's garden wedding that it was located in a cosy lodge near the mountainous region of Yongpyong in South Korea.
In fact, Blue Mountain Pension resort, just north-east of Seoul, could be easily pass off for a rustic bed-and-breakfast in any Western country. "We wanted a place for ourselves where we could celebrate the whole night and have a more intimate experience with just our close friends and family," explains the Korean bride.
The bride who's a well-respected makeup artist in Korea did her own hair and makeup and donned a pleated drop-waist gown for the ceremony. She walked through the garden to the music of the Game of Thrones' soundtrack toward her French groom, suited up in a posh three-piece grey number. The beauty of the day was captured by mutual friend and wedding photographer Greg Samborski.
The couple invited family from near and far plus a crazy group of creative friends with the sole intention of getting well lubricated with alcohol. "Everything else was secondary," laughs Carolina. They dug into delish Mediterranean eats and must-have Korean BBQ on the lawn which was set-up with neat rows of chairs and tables and a tent.
As the day grew into night, the wedding came alive with romantic hanging lights, music, speeches, dancing and lots of silliness, just as the couple intended. "Seeing it all come together and seeing the people I love have a good time was totally worth it!"
