It's down to 7 day to go before you say "I do." Just a week left before you become someone's wife. Everything is settled and you can't do anything much more but to give yourself a break. Wedding prep has consumed you, physically and mentally, and now it's time for you to lay back and enjoy your last week as a single woman because, girl, this moment isn't going to last forever. So, how are you going to spend your last days as an unattached woman? Here are a few fun ideas you can do.
1. Spoil your parents
Wedding preparation can be tough for your folks too. Not to mention the bittersweet feeling they harbor for their daughter who is going away. Use this time to reconnect with them. Book a quick out-of-town getaway, have a one-on-one bonding moment with each of them to show them how much you love them and how blessed you feel to be raised by them. Because once you're someone's Mrs., you might not have enough time to spend with them.
2. Throw a sleepover party with your best girls
The idea is to have a quality time with your best friends before you step into marriage, but to make it even more fun, host it at a place you won't be able to share with them in the future: your bedroom! Reminisce the good old days, laugh it off, and make sure the topic of your wedding and marriage is off the table. You can talk about that later. But that night, it's just for fun.
3. Hit the club
Because, when you're married, you'll be missing the place so much! Tag along your trusted girlfriends, enjoy the music, grab a drink, or two, dance to your favorite tunes, have a good time, but just don't lose yourself (too much).
4. Do some innocent flirting
Flirting? Yes. Just for fun, don't put too much effort or feelings into it. Do it to the cute barista at the random coffee shop, for example. It's not a sin, and it's not dangerous as long as the interaction is still totally appropriate and you're not distracting your life with the person that you're flirting with. Go and find out whether if those crazy or cheesy pick up lines actually work, without worrying what he thinks of you. You will see just how fun it is to meet someone new and entertain your brain with some interesting conversation. You might even get free coffee if you're lucky.
5. Travel alone and get lost
You don't have to go too far away because getting lost in the city can be quite interesting too. Put away your itinerary and the city's guidebook. Trust your guts and follow your senses to track down cool places you've never even heard of. You may be surprised how being "lost" really opens the door to being "found" and it can reinvigorate you and remind you of what is really valuable.
