In the midst of a busy wedding planning, many brides-to-be and grooms-to-be forget about one very important thing that must be done before legalizing their marriage. Before building a household together, of course, you and your partner must have been officially declared as husband and wife by state law and religious law. Couples sometimes do not take the process of collecting the documents needed to issue a marriage certificate seriously. It is indeed a crucial thing to do before arranging a civil registration and wedding ceremony.
Therefore, you should spend at least one to three months to prepare the documents. Within that period, you will be collecting the necessary personal documents and certificates to meet the requirements for a civil registration and wedding ceremony.
It should be noted that this process may vary depending on your religion, state status, place of worship or location of the wedding ceremony, and the state requirements at your wedding location.. Pay close attention to any stipulated marital conditions, such as residence documents. Make sure you meet all the terms immediately, or if possible, before planning other wedding details. We don't recommend you to wait until the last second to take care of this because you will be running out of time which creates unnecessary stress. Complete this step first before doing anything else, so that you can manage other preparations comfortably.
