Are you feeling the anxiety rising now? "Hundreds of people are going to looking at me as I walk down the aisle. Aargh!" Panic = Motivation. But trust me. You will look sensational even without trying, because all brides have a glow of happiness, elation and excitement.
Today's bridal makeup trends are Korean-inspired – big doe eyes, tiny chins, poreless skin, dewy complexions and pink-stained lips. Sounds pretty easy to achieve right? Think again.
On one of my shooting assignments, I met a Korean model from Gangnam who had the cutest little chin and tiniest mouth with pouty lips. Her eyes were huge and round, and her dainty hands didn't have a single wrinkle. Up close, I see why she looks so perfect in photos … she had major work done. Chin, double eyelids, cheek implants, nose job, boobs, neck, eyebrows and her lips.
Apparently, she sewed her lips to achieve a small angelic pout. She had to eat with a teaspoon ... I'm not exaggerating! And when I touched her face, it didn't feel familiar. It was hard like silicon-hard and was not warm to the touch. Personally, I don't disapprove of enhancements, but this was just OTT.
So brides out there … take it from me and go with what you have. Nobody needs to conform to one specific type of beauty. We are all uniquely different and your natural beauty can be enhanced with some of my tried-and-tested tricks. No plastic surgery needed!
For glowing dewy skin: Use a radiance mask for 2 weeks daily. If you feel your skin still looks dull and rough to the touch, try dermabrasion to remove dead cells.
For fuller brows: If you fight with your eyebrows every morning, do eyebrow embroidery to save time. Also, fuller brows make you look younger!
For saggy, crepe-y neck: Talk to your dermatologist about Ultherapy. I did that recently and love the results, but it hurts like a b***h!
