All that a bride-to-be wants is to be able to plan the wedding of her dreams with minimal worry and stress. But, we all know and understand that because it is your big day and not just any other event, you care a lot more about it going perfectly. You want to make sure everything goes smoothly, according to plan and you definitely don't want any unpleasant surprises popping up in the middle of the preparation. So, how can you avoid sweating the small stuff and ward off any anxiety in anticipation of the glitches in your wedding? Here are 5 things that you can do that might help.

1. Start planning early.
To procrastinate when it comes to planning your wedding can really send you on a ride straight to crazy town. In order to avoid the unnecessary stress that comes with having to decide everything last minute, try your very best to start planning as early as possible. With a lot of time on your hands, you will feel far more at ease and the process will feel so much more enjoyable.

2. Know what you want.
Decide how you want the wedding to be. Do you prefer a small and intimate wedding or a huge ceremonial? Is there a theme that you would like to go for? Having a clear vision of what you want will really speed up the process.

3. Know our budget.
Nowadays, with so many options for you to choose from, you just don't know where to start. But what may help narrow down your choices is in knowing your budget as it creates a ballpoint for what you actually can afford to have in your wedding. Figure out where your priorities lie when it comes to the finance-related topics. If you are splurging on some aspects of the wedding, then you will need to cut down on the costs for the other parts. It is about finding a balance in your budget.

4. Know who to delegate to.
When all the above has been decided, what you need to do is to appoint people you trust with the planning and leave it entirely up to them. This may not be easy for some of you to do, but when you have people who you trust doing the work for you, you will be far more relaxed and you won't worry so much.

5. Let it go and enjoy yourself!
At the end of the day, it is important to realize the difference between having a say in the decision making process with planning every single detail of the wedding. You are the bride to be – not the wedding planner. So, try your best to leave the preparations up to the planners and focus instead on the joys of getting married.
