The big day is finally here! Celebrity couple Raisa Andriana and Hamish Daud Wyllie will officially be Mr. & Mrs. soon after the Akad Nikah ceremony and will be celebrating the joyous moment with a lunch reception. Taking place at the Jimbaran Garden of Ayana Midplaza Jakarta, the happy couple beams with happiness as the most important event of their life is getting closer and closer. The place was transformed into a lovely setting, with wooden chairs that compliment the greenery surrounding perfectly. The sacred moment was filled with joyful tears and heartwarming memories as the two of them embarked on a new stage of life together.
For this special occasion, Raisa trusted makeup artist and close friend Marlene Hariman and kebaya designer Vera Anggraini from Vera Kebaya to transform her into a beautiful Sundanese bride. Her white bridal kebaya was also completed with a Sundanese siger headpiece. Meanwhile the groom was looking dapper in a traditional wedding suit.
Make sure you stay tuned on our blog to get the first look of the couple's exclusive wedding album, filled with photos of their last-minute prep, Akad Nikah ceremony, Sundanese wedding processions and lunch reception.
Now that they are officially Mr and Mrs., Raisa and Hamish went on to have a series of Sundanese wedding rituals to honor Raisa's cultural background. The processions started with sungkeman, continued with huap lingkung or saling suap, pabetot-pabetot bakakak ayam which was pulling out roasted chicken ceremony, meuleum harupat where the bride lighted up a candle, nincak endok which was stepping on egg tradition, and ended with saweran. Both of them looked stunning clad in Sundanese traditional attires complete with an elegant siger for Raisa's headpiece. Throughout the truly unique and meaningful procession, the newlywed seems to be enjoying every second of this once-in-a-lifetime moment.
After the traditional rituals are completed, the guests were invited for a lunch reception where they can also congratulate Raisa and Hamish for their wedding. The whole room was lit by happiness and joy from the attending family and friends as they celebrated the union of these lovebirds.
